Characteristics of Award Honorees
The award committee anticipates a broad range of nominations that define service to the community in many different ways. While the committee is not looking for a specific type of community involvement, characteristics of award honorees might include one or more of the following:
- Considers service to the community to be a way of life
- Goes above and beyond professional responsibilities in their service to St. Louis
- Dedicated to serving others
- Creates impact on community issues of concern
- Demonstrates selflessness
- Positively influences people’s perception of St. Louis
- Believes in the St. Louis region
- Inspires compassion and action in others
- Shows compassion for others
- Exudes passion for a social, cultural, or economic issue
In the Description of Nominee field below, please insert a letter that addresses the topics listed below. Complete nominations which paint a full picture of a nominee's qualifications for the award are strongly recommended, as the nomination you submit may be the only information available to the selection committee about your nominee.
We recommend you compose your nomination in a separate text file, outside of this form, and then cut/paste your final written submission. This will allow you to compose and edit your submission, as well as save a copy for your personal files.
Please be sure your letter addresses the following items:
- Your relationship with the nominee.
- The reason you believe your nominee should receive the Ethic of Service Award.
- Description of your nominee’s engagement with and contributions to the St. Louis community, and how it goes above and beyond professional responsibilities.
- Examples, stories, and details about how your nominee meets the award criteria.
